Hosted by Paul Robeson House & Museum (PRHM) as part of their Arts in the Parlor series, this event celebrates Netter's longstanding partnership with PRHM and West Philadelphia Cultural Alliance.
An in-depth interview with Dr. Ira Harkavy, Founding Director of the Netter Center and Chair of the Paul Robeson House & Museum Board, and Janice Sykes-Ross, Executive Director of the Paul Robeson House & Museum.
Musical Concert featuring - Bert Harris, Bassist- Afro Jazz Trio
Bert Harris has performed world beat, jazz and blues for more than 40 years. He and his band primarily play jazz from Africa, especially the music of South African jazz composers. They perform the music of pianist/composer Abdullah Ibrahim (Dollar Brand), singer/composer/trumpeter Hugh Masekela, saxophonist Winston Mankunku Ngozi, pianist Bheki Mseleku and pianist/composer Ibrahim Khalil Shihab.
