Harkavy Delivers Distinguished Oration at Edith Cowan University

Universities can better fulfill their core academic functions if they increasingly focus on improving the conditions in their own local communities first, according to US education expert Dr. Ira Harkavy.  

Dr. Harkavy is the Associate Vice-President and founding Director of the Barbara and Edward Netter Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Pennsylvania.  

He spoke at ECU’s Joondalup Campus on 22 July 2014.
